What is the Destiny number?
The Destiny number is the sum of all the digits of your full date of birth. That sum is reduced, in the end, to one of the single numbers, or it stays a master number (11, 22, 33) when that is what it comes to. It is the number that accompanies you all your life and reveals your purpose.
This is the rule of the Kabbalistic method that Shira Hilel uses everywhere on the site:
- Add every digit of the day, the month and the year of birth.
- Reduce the total by adding its digits, until you reach a single digit from 1 to 9.
- Keep 11, 22 and 33. If the total reaches one of the master numbers, you stop there.

How to calculate life path number: an example
Take someone born on 14 March 1985:
- The digits are 1, 4, 0, 3, 1, 9, 8, 5.
- 1 + 4 + 0 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 5 = 31
- 3 + 1 = 4
Her Destiny number is 4. If, along the way, the total had come to 11, 22 or 33, it would have stayed a master number and would not be reduced further.
A related number works differently: your personal year is always 1 to 9, with no master numbers, and it changes on your birthday, not on January 1. Your personal month is the personal year plus the month, and your personal day is the personal month plus the day.

In numerology you work with the Gregorian date: the day, month and year as they appear on your ID.
